As the founder of Hollywood Hair Guy® Academy, Dean is committed to educating and inspiring the next generation of hairstylists.

Dean’s passion for teaching stems from his belief that every stylist has the potential to create magic, and he strives to cultivate that talent in each of his students.

Transforming characters one strand at a time, Johnny Lomeli is a celebrated Emmy-nominated hairstylist with over a decade of experience in television, film, and live entertainment. Since launching his career at Disneyland in 2012, Johnny has spent the past 10 years perfecting his craft in live shows, theatrical productions, and stunt-heavy environments. In 2021, he transitioned into television and film, contributing to acclaimed productions such as Legendary, Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, and American Horror Story.

Johnny’s exceptional work has earned him three Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS) Awards, including recognition for Best Contemporary Hair Styling in a Television Series for Abbott Elementary . His expertise in synthetic wig design and period hairstyling has also led him to style wigs for queens on RuPaul’s Drag Race. Johnny continues to inspire the next generation of artists through mentorship, blending technical precision with bold artistic vision.
